Following a ruling by the Gampaha Magistrate court the 03 individuals connected to the alleged leak of the GCE Advanced Level Chemistry paper II have been remanded till August 30.
The three persons were arrested on August 21, after a private tutor distributed leaflets in front of an examination center in Gampaha, stating that he was able to discuss several questions that were seen in this year’s Chemistry paper at seminars conducted prior to the examination.
As events transpired the Police arrested the brother and father of the private tutor on August 21. Further investigations revealed the connection of a 41-year-old, who was the owner of a typing center in Gampaha. The Police arrested the owner and produced all three persons to the Gampaha Magistrate court today (22).
It was decided today, that the three individuals were to be remanded until August 30, by the Gampaha Magistrate court.
