The Kurundugahahetekma Sub Post Office in Elpitiya had gone up in flames at approximately 6.30 am today (29).
The Police Media Spokesperson reported that the Postmistress had been killed in the fire.
The deceased Postmistress was found to be 49 years of age.
Elpitiya Police have opened an investigation into the incident. The cause of the fire is yet to be inferred.
