If taxes are levied on EPF, ETF earnings, we will take to the streets – Wasantha Samarasinghe

The convener of the National Trade Union Center Wasantha Samarasinghe stated that the general populace of the country will take to the streets to voice their severe distress, should the government enforce taxes on EPF and ETF earnings.
Speaking to the media at a press conference yesterday, Wasantha Samarasinghe stated that the imposition of taxes on EPF and ETF earnings through the newly proposed Inland Revenue Bill will cause a great burden to the working class community of Sri Lanka.
