30 year old sentenced to 12 years for molesting a 10 year old child

The Matara High Court sentenced a 30 year old resident of the Urubokka region to 12 years in prison for molesting a 10 year old girl in Urubokka earlier today (30).
Ada Derana reporters confirm that High Court Judge Damith Thotawatte sentenced the guilty individual to 12 years in prison with hard labour.
It was further stated that a fee of Rs.150,000 was to be paid to the 10 year old girl as compensation by the defendant. The High Court Judge also stated that a further 02 years was to be added on to the sentence should the convicted party fail to pay compensation.
Accordingly, the convicted individual was a 30 year old resident of Urubokka, who was arrested for molesting a 10 year old girl at her residence.
