An ambulance transporting Special Task Force personnel toppled earlier today (5), while travelling on the Southern Expressway in between the 85-86 mileposts at Pinnaduwa.
It has been reported that prolonged rainfall caused both accidents as the Expressway was extremely slippery.
Motorists have been advised to travel with caution.
