Govt to provide students with an alternate pathway to A/Levels

Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam stated that the government will launch a program in October, to accommodate students who fail to pass the GCE Ordinary Level Examination and grant entry to the Advanced Level streams.
 
Accordingly 26 new subjects aimed solely at the development of vocational skills will be introduced as an option for students who are unable to pass the O/Level examination.

 

Minister Kariyawasam made these remarks while addressing a gathering in Galle.
