The Department of Meteorology says that showery weather condition over the island is expected to enhance temporarily during the period of September 11th to 14th.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces.
It said that showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.
The department warned that there may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
Several spells of showers will occur in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambanthota via Colombo and Galle.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Eastern and Northern sea areas during evening and night.
Winds will be south-westerly in direction and speed will be 30-40 kmph.
The sea area off the coast extending from Galle to Pottuvil via Hambantota can be fairly rough at times as the wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph.
