Leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa stated that the opposition will not welcome any politician who raised their hand in favour of the draft 20th Amendment to the constitution that warps the electoral system of the country.
MP Weerawansa stated that the Opposition has no place for any advocates of the Draft Bill and that they will not allow any sympathizers to secure a seat through the opposition at the upcoming election.
He also invited all politicians including cabinet members and Ministers and Deputy Ministers to vote against the 20th amendment and contest the election through the UPFA or the SLFP to secure a seat in the opposition.
MP Weerawansa made these statements at a press briefing held in Kotte earlier today (14).
