MP Namal Rajapaksa stated that the current government is tirelessly attempting to maintain a facade of democracy to deceive the people of Sri Lanka and the global community.
Speaking to the media at Hambantota earlier today (15), MP Namal Rajapaksa questioned as to how democracy is maintained within the country when, Arundika Fernando and Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa were removed from their ministerial portfolios for simply performing their ministerial responsibilities.
He further stated that the current government has fostered a political culture where the clergy and judiciary are completely disrespected by politicians creating an immoral, corrupt society.
MP Rajapaksa also stated that the President and Prime Minister should be held responsible over defamatory statements made by the Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage Ranjan Ramanayake aimed at the judiciary.
