Nationwide protests will be conducted should the Govt not comply - GMOA

Secretary of the GMOA Dr. Haritha Aluthge stated that the GMOA will launch a nationwide strike more potent than any form of protest witnessed in the country, should the government not provide a solution to the ongoing SAITM issue. 

 

Speaking to the media today (15). Dr.Aluthge stated that the GMOA will not accept any ruling that does not conform to the demands made previously by the GMOA. Dr.Aluthge stated that the actions of the government will have a direct impact on the strike action that is to be conducted on September 21. 

 

The Secreatry of the GMOA also mentioned that certain authoritative bodies had already taken steps to legalize SAITM and that clearance documents for the institute had been drafted by British Medical Councils.
