The SLC has announced that former Sri Lankan cricketer Graem Labrooy will be appointed as the new Chairman of the selection committee of the SLC.
Graem Labrooy who played 9 tests and 44 ODIs from 1986 to 1992 was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Labrooy who has a wealth of cricketing experience will be appointed in the wake of a tricky time for Sri Lanka cricket.
The new Chairman will take over the vacant post previously held by Sanath Jayasuriya, who along with his selection committee resigned from their positions earlier this month following an embarrassing whitewash at the hands of a strong Indian contingent.
