It has been reported that a special discussion has been held between CEB Trade Unions to review the response provided by the government to the strike action conducted by CEB employees.
CEB employees went on strike citing several demands that were not met by government officials. The CEB employees aggressively pursued their strike as talks held with government officials failed miserably.
Accordingly, the talks held today (17) will determine on the course of action that is to be taken by CEB Trade Unions.
Meanwhile the media spokesperson of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy Sulakshana Jayawardena has stated that the Ministry is working in union with the police to seek legal action against all the CEB employees who are currently on strike.
