16 hospitalized following wasp attack

16 people including tea pluckers working in Kotagala estate and a group of school children were hospitalized after being attacked by wasps yesterday (30).
They were rushed to the Kotagala Regional Hospital.
The wasps attacked the tea pluckers and the school childeren after their nest built on a tea plant was disturbed, Dimbula Police said.
Six women, six men and four school children were injured by the wasp attack.
Their condition is not severe, hospital reports said.
