President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the government is taking steps to enrich both academic and moral education for the children of Sri Lanka to create a cultured, erudite future for the country.
He further stated that the government is taking all necessary action to ensure that the children of Sri Lanka are secure and independent.
Speaking to the students of Polonnaruwa Royal College and Polonnaruwa Ananda College at the event held to curb the use of banned substances among the youth today (1), in celebration of World Children’s day, the President stated that the government is taking stern action to prevent the youth of the country from substance abuse.
The president also urged the populace of Sri Lanka to cooperate with the government in their effort in preventing children from using banned substances.
