A 28-year-old youth has been shot and killed in the Katubedda area in Moratuwa.
Police said that the victim was found in front of his house with a gunshot wound and rushed to the Panadura Hospital, where he had succumbed to injuries.
A 29-year-old suspect from Dikwella has been arrested along with an illegal homemade hand gun (Galkatas) in connection with the incident.
Moratuwa Police is conducting further investigations.
