Illegal liquor worth 40 million rupees seized

A consignment of illegal liquor bottles worth 40 million rupees has been seized by the Police from a house in Rajagiriya today (05) .

 

The consignment of liquor has been discovered from a three-storied building in Rajagiriya today morning.

 

Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said 5,500 bottles of foreign liquor were seized during the raid carried out by the Special Task Force (STF).

 

The suspect had allegedly attempted to sell the liquor bottles in the local market.

 

Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Welikada Police and STF.
