Local craftsmen must be given an international platform – President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that local craftsmen must be given an international platform to display their talents to enhance the viability of local industries.
The President expressed these sentiments, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2017 ‘shilpa abhimani’ exhibition, where 21 local art forms will be displayed.
President Sirisena further stated that local crafts can be a useful source of foreign income to the lankan economy.
