12 persons hospitalized following collision in Anuradhapura

Reports confirm that 12 individuals were hospitalized following an accident at Nekethgama in Anuradhapura earlier today (8).
The accident occurred when a van collided with a truck transporting roofing tiles that was parked on the side of the road.
Initial investigations reveal that the collision occurred as the driver of the van was severely sleep deprived and lost control of the vehicle.
The injured passengers were admitted to the Nochchiyagama hospital. Hospital sources report that all the admitted patients are being treated and have not sustained critical injuries.
