
In a statement circulated to the media, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that he is prepared to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry for any clarifications that are to be made.
In a statement to the media the Prime Minister’s Office declared that the Premier will have no objections in appearing before the Bond Commission following the mention of the Prime Minister by persons produced before the Bond Commission.
“The Yahapalanaya government that came into power on January 8, 2015 is and will always be committed to protecting democracy and good governance. It is of paramount importance that all government officials comply with any and all investigations regarding them to ensure the protection of good governance” the statement read.
