Constitution will be amended regardless of opposition – Dilan Perera

State Minister of Highways Dilan Perera stated that members of the Joint Opposition still have the opportunity to join with the SLFP and contest the upcoming elections as a united front.
He further stated that an open invitation has been extended to all SLFP party members who have joined the Joint Opposition to convene with President Maithripala Sirisena and discuss their concerns throughout the first week of November.
Speaking to a gathering of SLFP party members in Badulla, Minister Perera stated that the proposed constitutional amendments will be brought into effect regardless of the unceasing opposition posed by numerous political groups.
