Collision between motorcycle and lorry leaves one dead

Arachikattuwa Police officials reported that one person was killed following a collision between a motorcycle and a lorry travelling near the Palliya junction in Arachikattuwa earlier today (24).
The motorcyclist who sustained heavy injuries was admitted to the Halawatha hospital after which he was transferred to the Colombo General hospital where he was pronounced dead following emergency treatment.
The diseased person was a 35-year old resident of Udappuwa.
The driver of the lorry was detained by the Arachikattuwa Police and further investigations are being conducted into the incident.
