SLFP to convene to discuss LG elections

A special discussion of the SLFP will be held on November 3, in the presence of President Maithripala Sirisena to converse on the issues surrounding the upcoming Local Government elections. 

 

The meeting will be held to take several key decisions on the stance taken by the SLFP for the upcoming elections. 

 

Meanwhile a special meeting of the Joint Opposition that will be headed by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be held on October 29. 

 

The meeting will be held to decide on whether the SLFP members of the Joint Opposition will attend the special SLFP party meeting that will be held on November 2.
