President returns following state visit to Qatar

President Maithripala returned to Sri Lanka following his two-day state visit to Qatar earlier today (27).
A bilateral meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and the Prime Minister of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani was held yesterday. (26)
The two leaders discussed about continuously maintaining the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Sirisena briefed the Qatari Premier about the investment opportunities in Sri Lanka in the fields of power and energy.
The President thanked the Qatari Prime Minister for the assistance given to Sri Lanka at international level. He also thanked the Premier for the assistance given to the Sri Lankans who are working in many fields in Qatar.
