Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe congratulated President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping on his re-election as the General-Secretary of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Military Commission at the recently held 19th National Congress.
In his felicitation message addressed to Xi Jinping, the PM had acknowledged the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and China built upon mutual respect, solidarity trust and understanding has led, over decades, to both countries reaching historical milestones in time tested bilateral partnership.
Furthermore the PM had added that the close affinity and collaboration between the two countries will continue to further flourish and expand for the benefit of the people during his second time of office.
