Four treasure hunters arrested

Four men were arrested at Ratmalgahawewa, Kahatagasdigiliya area for allegedly engaging in treasure hunting.
The arrest was made following a tip off received by Kahatagasdigiliya Police Station.
The Police seized a backhoe, rock drilling machine, mining equipment and several other equipments with the suspects.
The suspects, are residents of Madatugama, Panwilathenna, Gampola and Maswala, Police said.
They will be produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court today (29).
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Kahatagasdigiliya Police.
