Two persons hacked to death in Gokarella

The Gokarella Police have reported that a female and male were stabbed to death in Gokarella earlier today (1).
Investigations reveal that an assailant stabbed and wounded a female person before her husband attacked the assailant before gravely injuring him.
The female was admitted to the Kurunegala hospital while her attacker was admitted to the Polgolla hospital where they were both pronounced dead.
The deceased persons are a 37-year old female from Panliyadda and a 36-year old man from Melsiripura.
The Gokarella Police arrested the husband of the female in relation to the incident and stated that they are yet to determine the cause of the crime.
