The General Secretary of the SLFP Duminda Dissanayake stated that the SLFP will not contest the upcoming Local Government elections as an alliance with the UNP.
Minister Dissanayake made these statements following a special meeting of the SLFP that was held today (3), at the Presidential Secretariat.
Accordingly the SLFP will contest the upcoming polls independently.
