
A discussion between the Secretary to the President and the Medical faculty Students Parents’ Association (MFSPA) ensued yesterday (3), with regards to the decision made on the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine.
The discussions took place at the Presidential Secretariat.
It has been reported that the MFSPA greatly appreciated the mediation of President Sirisena in the resolution of the SAITM issue.
The MFSPA had requested that the government implement the resolution process that was defined through the abolishment of the shareholding and management structure of SAITM.
The Secretary to the President also provided the MFSPA with the opportunity of convening with the Secretary to the Ministry of education to discuss the proposals drafted by them.
