Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam says that the Ministry will work in collaboration with the Women and Child Affairs Ministry in order to upgrade the quality of pre-school education.
He made this statement while addressing a ceremony held in Kurunegala to hand over financial aid to the pre-schools of Kurunegala district under the Early Childhood Development Project.
The Minister emphasized the importance of pre-school education is of a great importance as it is the basic foundation of a child’s life.
Steps will be taken to provide training for pre-school teachers with international assistance, and necessary facilities will be provided to all pre schools while developing the infra-structure facilities, the minister pointed out.
