Special meeting between JO and SLFP on Nov 27

A special discussion between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Joint Opposition (JO) will be held on November 27, to further discuss the union of the two political factions.
The discussion will be held following a meeting of top delegates from both parties last night (25).
Reports confirm that the President was informed of the proposals made by the JO last night, and that the SLFP will respond to them during the meeting tomorrow.
It was further reported that the JO are of the stance that they cannot unite with the SLFP should they continue their alliance with the UNP.
