UNP and SLFP responsible for deferment of polls – Jayantha

The National Freedom Front (NFF) stated that the chief perpetrators behind the continuous postponement of the Local government elections are the UNP and SLFP leaders representing the current yahapalanaya government.

 

Speaking at a media briefing today (26), MP Jayantha Samaraweera stated that the blame should be next shifted to the JVP for their political schemes. 
He further stated that the JVP was responsible for feeding the public lies to end the era of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who conducted elections at the proper times. 

 

It was also mentioned that the UNP centric government has deprived the people of their basic rights by not holding free and fair elections at the proper times.
