Student groups clash over Prabhakaran’s birthday in Jaffna

The Faculty of Management and Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Jaffna have been temporarily closed due to a brawl that ensued within campus premises between two student groups. 

 

University staff confirmed that the two student groups clashed as a student groups opposed certain individuals from celebrating the birthday of Velupillai Prabhakaran within campus premises. 

 

All students residing within campus dormitories have been asked to leave the premises within the course of the day.
