Muslim Congress to decide on break away for LG polls tomorrow

The Muslim Congress opened discussions to contest the upcoming Local Government elections from the northern and eastern provinces independently. 

 

Party sources confirm that the Muslim Congress will contest the LG polls together with the UNP as a United Front. However a decision will be made as to whether or not the party will contest as an independent party from the northern and eastern provinces following a discussion tomorrow (30). 

 

The Muslim Congress will meet with UNP General Secretary Kabir Hashim at the parliamentary complex tomorrow (30), to decide on the matter.
