A 35 year old Sri Lankan was detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport with 19 pieces of undeclared Gold jewelry yesterday (2).
The gold pieces have been valued at Rs.1,956,570 by BIA customs staff.
The suspect arrived at the airport from Kualalampur via flight AK43 at 12.30am. The gold was found upon investigation at the green channel.
