Five youths arrested for throwing stones at SLTB bus

Five individuals have been arrested for allegedly pelting stones and causing damages to bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), traveling from Jaffna to Kandy. 

 

Police said that several windows of the bus had shattered as a result of the attack, which had occurred in the Kanagarayankulam area in Vavuniya. A passenger of the bus had also sustained minor injuries in the incident. 

 

Following a complaint lodged by the driver of the bus with Kanagarayankulam Police, five youths aged around 25-years-old were arrested yesterday (3). 

 

They are to be produced at the Vavuniya Magistrate’s Court today (4). Kanagarayankulam Police is conducting further investigations.
