CCTV: One injured after parked lorry crashes into shop

An employee of a shop was injured and hospitalised this morning following an accident involving two vehicles including a parked lorry at Eravur, Batticaloa.
According to Ada Derana reporter, a lorry traveling from Colombo to Batticaloa had crashed into a small lorry parked outside a shop in Eravur at high speed.
The parked lorry had then crashed into the shop in question, injuring one of the employees at the shop. He has been admitted to the Eravur Hospital.
The accident is believed to have happened as a result of the lorry driver falling asleep at the wheel.
The lorry driver has been arrested while Eravur Police is conducting further investigations.
