A suspect was arrested in Ampara with a haul of illegal drugs.
The stock of drugs was seized by Ampara Police while it was being transported in a motor vehicle.
The suspect had 23,400 intoxicating tablets in his possession at the time of his arrest, according to Police.
The 60 –year-old suspect was identified as a resident of Akkaripattu. He will be produced before Ampara Magistrate today (20).
