The Police Headquarters reported that 15 individuals that were infringing upon the established election laws were arrested during the nomination phase of the Local Government election.
It was further stated that 16 complaints were lodged with the police over misconduct and illegalities during the submission of nominations.
The majority of complaints received were that of threats and attempted assault.
