A person has been stabbed to death using a sharp object in Vellavely, Selvapuram.
The murder had taken place yesterday (02) owing to a family dispute, according to police.
The deceased was identified as a 49-year-old resident of Selvapuram.
The suspect involved in the murder is also being treated at Batticaloa Hospital under police custody.
Selvapuram Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
