An Indian national was apprehended by the custom officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport for smuggling nine bottles of foreign liquor without paying customs duty.
The arrest was made following a tip-off received by Aviation security.
The 49-year-old suspect will be produced before Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by Aviation security.
