Railway workers have decided to resort to trade union action based on several demands, said the Secretary of the Locomotive Engineering Operators’ Union (LEOU) Indika Dodangoda.
According to him, railway workers will launch the strike from midnight on 8th of May.
The strike is to protest the government’s failure to fulfill the promises made to the railway trade unions, said the Secretary.
