Several areas have experienced power failures due to strong winds, stated the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy.
Around 14,000 consumers in Dambulla, Naula, Teldeniya, Kundasale and Badulla areas have been affected due this power failure.
Ministry spokesman Sulakshana Jayawardena said that measures are already being taken to restore the power supply in the affected areas.
