Pannala Police have arrested 2 persons for attempting to smuggle out a haul of white sandalwood to a foreign country.
The police had seized 6700kgs of sandalwood pieces hidden inside 175 fertilizer bags at a place in Elabadagama, Pannala.
The 27 and 31 year old suspects will be presented at the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate’s Court.
