Over 103 kg of heroin have been seized on a raid conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).
Police media Spokesperson Ruwan Gunasekara stated that the value of the heroin haul was estimated to be about Rs 1248 million.
The seized heroin haul were found in Kalubowila and Battaramulla areas, Police media Spokesperson further said.
When the PNB searched a jeep last night (07) near Kalubowila Prathibimbarama Mawatha, they had found 30 parcels of heroin inside it and 2 suspects were also apprehended along with it.
Interrogations of the suspects had led to the discovery of 66 more parcels of heroin in a house in Subuthipura, Battaramulla.
Accordingly, the police have seized 103 kg 950 mg of heroin.
PNB is conducting further investigations on the matter.
