JO responsible for Galle Fort losing World Heritage Site status – Wijepala Hettiarachchi

The Joint Opposition should be held responsible if the Galle Fort is removed from the list of World Heritage Sites, says UNP MP Wijepala Hettiarachchi.
He stated that the rumors about the removal of the Galle Stadium are false.
There is a plan to remove the Galle Fort from the World Heritage Site list and if these buildings cover the Galle Fort, it should be remedied, he further said.
