Severe traffic congestion has been reported at Kaduwela, Pinnaduwa, Welipenna and Matara entry points of the Southern Expressway, the Road Development Authority (RDA) said.
The heavy traffic is due to an increase in the number of vehicles using the expressway since this morning.
The RDA said that over hundred thousand vehicles had already entered the expressway today (25).
