The Sri Lanka Navy has discovered around 7 parcels of Kerala cannabis floating in the sea area off Mannar.
The parcels had contained a total of 284 kilograms of Kerala cannabis, according to police.
No information has been uncovered regarding any suspects over the discovery.
Mulankavil Police is conducting further investigations regarding the haul of cannabis ad individuals engage in drug rackets via the sea route.
