A live hand grenade found in Galapitamada-Uhana area has been deactivated, stated the Police.
The said grenade has been found when a land in Galapitamada was cleared and the Uhana police had reported the matter to the Ampara Magistrate’s Court.
Subsequently, the grenade has been deactivated by the officers of the Special Task Force, the Police said.
Uhana Police is conducting further investigations on the incident.
