Four arrested for trafficking cannabis hidden between mattresses

Kilinochchi Police have arrested four suspects for transporting 4 kilograms of cannabis in the Ambalakulama area in Kilinochchi.
The suspects had transported the cannabis in a small lorry and a three-wheeler stated the police. They had transported cannabis in the lorry hidden between mattresses, while the three-wheeler trailing behind it also contained cannabis, stated the police.
According to the police, the suspects were residents of Kilinochchi and had been trafficking cannabis truck in the guise of selling mattresses.
Arrested suspects will be produced before the Kilinochchi Magistrate’s Court and Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations.
