New program to tighten prison security

A new program to tighten the security at prisons will be implemented without delay and the plans are already underway, says the Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms.
According to the Secretary of the Ministry Mangalika Adhikari, the purpose of introducing this program is to tighten the security at prisons and to curb certain rackets carried out inside prisons.
Assistance of security forces will be rendered to implement this program, Secretary Mangalika Adhikari stated.
Certain incidents of corruption and irregularities that took place in prisons, especially the use of mobile phones, have been curbed as of now, according to the Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms.
